Forever entrenched in the history books as THE album that was released on 9/11 of 2001. The contents of ”God Hates Us All” are as hectic as the events were on that faithful day. So I try to see "God Hates Us All" independent from the old Slayer records. First off, the album is not too bad. 15. “Postmortem” – Opening riff. “Postmortem” has since graduated from simply a lead-in track for “Raining Blood” to one of Slayer’s most beloved songs. A lot of that comes from the track’s massive opening guitar riff, which sounds like a temple to Satan emerging over the horizon. I mean c,mon how sad and lame are lyrics like: "Despair, emptiness Isolation rapes you everyday Face down taste the dust, digging deeper in your grave Haven't found a reason Haven't found a thing to fucking live for Godless he doesn't care How you choose to destroy yourself In a world that feeds on hate You're left here just to waste away In No need to introduce Slayer. The masters are back with a new opus, so is it up to their standard? After the intro, the attack begins with Disciple, a fast-paced song filled with rage that gave the album its title: God Hates Us All. At the begining of track 3, I was already convinced that this CD was going to stay a while in the player. Another one of these albums that turned 20 this year, not my favorite.
